Riverdale, NY –
Sophomore Luke Hanson (Middletown, NY / Minisink Valley) scored a career-high five goals while junior Parker Giarratana (Delray, FL / Boca Raton Community) added a hat trick but it wasn't enough as Siena held off a late-charging Manhattan squad by a 15-12 count at Gaelic Park in the series finale for each team.

The Saints jumped out to a 13-2 lead at the break before the Jaspers made their move after halftime.

Manhattan opened the third period with three-straight scores in quickly trimming the deficit to 13-5 as Hanson found the back of the net twice and Giarratana once.

The visitors would briefly answer with a pair of scores in opening up a 15-5 advantage with 1:30 to play in the third.

The Jaspers then closed the game with arguably their finest stretch of the season, ripping off seven-straight goals over the 15-plus minutes of the game.

Sophomore CJ Scharf (West Islip, NY / West Islip) concluded the third-period scoring with his first goal of the game off a pass from Giarratana before sophomore Brendon Grinnell (Wakefield, MA / Wakefield Memorial) and freshman Sean MacKinney (Martinsville, NJ / Bridgewater-Raritan) opened the fourth quarter with goals. Hanson followed with back-to-back goals before Giarratana found the back of the net twice in providing the final 15-12 score.
