The Jaspers improve to 4-6 while the Highlanders fall to 0-12.

Sophomore Luke Hanson (Middletown, NY / Minisink Valley) had his top offensive game to date with a career-high four goals with three assists to lead an Manhattan attack that scored a season-high 14 goals.

Trailing 4-3 at the break, Hanson set the tone after halftime with the first Jasper score of the third quarter before assisting on freshman Justin Malpica's (Glen Head, NY / Long Island Lutheran) go-ahead goal. Sophomore Reid Martin (Buffalo, NY / Canisius) and classmate CJ Scharf (West Islip, NY / West Islip) followed suit with goals of their own in giving Manhattan a 7-4 lead with 6:38 to play in the quarter.

NJIT briefly answered with a Cole Robillard goal only to see Hanson find Brandon Grinnell (So., Wakefield, MA / Wakefield Memorial) for the equalizer just over a minute later before opening the fourth quarter with back-to-back goals in giving the Jaspers an insurmountable 10-5 lead with 11:45 to play.

For good measure Hanson would assist on the ensuing Manhattan goal, a Malpica strike, before capping the Jaspers' scoring with his fourth goal at the 3:10 mark.

Grinnell and Scharf each found the back of the net three times while Malpica scored twice and junior Parker Giarratanta (Delray, FL / Boca Raton Community) added a goal and three assists to round out the top performers on offense for the Jaspers.

Senior Michael Zingaro (Cortlandt Manor, NY / Walter Panas) made 14 saves while yielding just six goals in earning the win.
