Waterman scored 19 of his game-high 28 points in the first half to go along with eight rebounds while Turner notched 23 of his 25 points after halftime, including 14 of the Jaspers' 23 points in the aforementioned game-changing spurt, with five assists.

Fueled by the victory, Manhattan improves to 12-14 and 7-7 in the MAAC while the Hawks fall to 8-17 and 4-9 in the league.

Trailing 40-36 at the break, Monmouth scored five-straight points in taking its first advantage of the game and led 56-55 with 10:09 remaining when the Jaspers made their move.

After junior Thomas Capuano (Hasting-on-Hudson, NY / Iona Prep) split a pair from the line, sophomore Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum College) scored down low and senior Rich Williams (Brooklyn, NY / Vermont Academy (VT)) hit a triple. Capuano then followed with a three of his own in giving Manhattan what would prove to be an insurmountable 64-56 lead with 7:48 to play.

Monmouth then briefly quelled the spurt with a free throw when for all intents and purposes Turner took over. The Indianapolis native canned a three on the ensuing possession in starting a personal-14-3 run that stretched the lead out to 78-60 with 5:20 remaining.

The Jaspers advantage would grow to a game-high 19 as Manhattan won going away by the aforementioned 93-76 count.
