Worcester, MA - Manhattan women's basketball travels to Holy Cross for a Wednesday morning match-up against the Crusaders. The game, which will tip at 11:00 a.m., will be the last non-conference match-up of the season for the Jaspers, before they head into MAAC play at Canisius on January 3.Â

Kania Pollock (Queens, NY / The Mary Louis Academy) nabbed a collegiate-high 14 points against Sacred Heart on Sunday, December 16, but the Jaspers were unable to overcome the Pioneers' 54 percent shooting, losing the contest 74-46.Â
Lynette Taitt (Irvington, NJ / Bishop Loughlin) earned a career-high six assists for the day to lead all the players. She also earned a game-high four steals, another career-high.
Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) pulled down eight boards to lead Manhattan. The Jaspers out-rebounded the Pioneers 39-34, including a 19-5 advantage on the offensive boards.
Rookie of the Week
After her team-leading offensive performance against the Pioneers, Pollock was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on December 17, marking the second time this season a Jasper player has received the weekly award. ClassmateÂ
D'yona Davis (Bronx, NY / Truman) was named the league's Rookie of the Week on November 19.Â
Crusader Notes
Holy Cross' five-game winning streak came to an end against UNH as the Crusaders fell 74-62 on December 9. Junior Lauren Manis had a double-double in the game with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while freshman Oluchi Ezemma tied a career high with eight points while chipping in five boards. Manis is tied for the Division I lead in double-doubles, with eight this year through nine games.

Manhattan and Holy Cross last met on November 11, 2016 in Riverdale. The Jaspers won 60-56, giving
Heather Vulin, in her first year at the helm of the program, her first victory as a head coach and her first win as a Jasper.Â
Series History
Holy Cross leads the all-time series 10-13. Manhattan has won two MAAC Championships against the Crusaders, first a 70-64 victory for the 1987 championship, and second, a 78-69 win in 1990.
Get Fit Game
Wednesday's game marks Holy Cross' annual "Get Fit With The Crusaders Day." Nearly 1,300 students from 12 local schools are expected to attend.
