Manhattan played UConn to a 15-15 stalemate over the first 15-plus minutes of the game before the Huskies ended the stanza with 10-straight points in claiming what would prove to be an insurmountable 25-15 advantage at the break.

UConn opened the second half with six-straight made field goals as their advantage grew to 39-22 with just over 15 minutes to play.

Down but not out, the Jaspers would continue to fight and trimmed the deficit to 12 with less than nine minutes remaining following a Tyler Reynolds (Jr., Syracuse, NY / Harcum College) triple. Unfortunately, that would be as close as Manhattan would get as the Huskies responded with eight-straight points in opening up its largest lead of the night at 55-35 with 5:09 remaining.

Christian Vital led all players with 13 points and eight rebounds while Alterique Gilbert (12 points) and Josh Carlton (11 points) also hit for double-figures for UConn.
