The Manhattan College Jaspers (7-12, 4-4 MAAC) take on the Monmouth Hawks (5-14, 3-5 MAAC) Sunday, January 28 at Draddy Gymnasium. This is the first meeting of the two teams this season, with each of them playing their second game in less than three days. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Top Storylines:
  • Monmouth holds a slight 13-10 all-time series advantage over the Jaspers. Last year, the teams met three times in a span of 14 days, including Monmouth's 62-46 win in the first round of the MAAC Tournament.
  • Manhattan is currently fifth in the league in field goal percentage (.408) this season and second in three-point field goal percentage (.340). The Jaspers lead the MAAC in rebounding defense, allowing just 30.8 per game, and have the second-highest rebounding margin at +3.7. The team is fourth in blocked shots per game (4.0) and also fourth in assists per game (14.1).
  • Monmouth, picked to finish fifth in the MAAC's preseason poll, leads the league in rebounding offense (40.2 per game) and blocked shots (5.1) per game. The Hawks are last in the MAAC in turnover margin (-6.25) and assist/turnover ratio (0.6).
  • Senior guard Amani Tatum currently ranks 28th among Division I players in three-point field goal percentage (43.8). She also leads the MAAC in this category, as well as in steals (53) and steals per game (2.8). Tatum is second in the league in assists (81) and assists per game (4.3). She is two assists away from earning 300 during her time at Manhattan.
