Loudonville, NY - The Manhattan College Jaspers (7-11, 4-3 MAAC) take on the Siena Saints (10-10, 5-4 MAAC) Friday, January 26 at Siena's Alumni Recreation Center. This is the first meeting of the two teams this season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Top Storylines:
  • In the team's last outing, Manhattan overcame an 18-2 Iona run in the fourth quarter to outlast the Gaels 67-63 at Draddy Gymnasium on Thursday, January 18. Senior guard Taylor Williams (Hartford, CT / Capital Preparatory Magnet) led the Jaspers with a season-high 18 points on 6-10 shooting, including 4-8 from three. Sophomore Gabby Cajou (Stony Point / North Rockland) contributed 16 points. Kayla Grimme (Altoona, PA / Altoona Area) recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds, including 12 defensive boards. She also contributed three steals and three blocks. Amani Tatum (Cambria Heights, NY / James Madison) earned nine assists in the game, just one off her career high of 10. She added five steals and eight points.
  • Grimme and Tatum are close to substantial career milestones. Grimme, Manhattan's leader in blocked shots, is one block away from 200 for her career. Tatum is four assists away from 300 for her time at Manhattan.
  • Originally picked to finish 10th in the MAAC preseason poll, Manhattan leads the league in rebounding defense and currently holds the largest rebounding margin, averaging +1.4 more rebounds per game than conference opponents. The Jaspers are third in the league in steals at 8.1 per game and third in scoring defense, allowing just 63.2 points per game. On the offensive end, Manhattan is third in field goal percentage (39.5) and second in three-point field goal percentage (31.8).
  • Siena enters Friday's match-up with a three-game winning streak, defeating Marist (1/18), Iona (1/20), and Fairfield (1/22) over a five-day stretch. Kollyns Scarbrough has led Siena in 13 of 20 games played, and has averaged 20.3 points per game over the last seven games. She has tallied six double-doubles this season.
  • Siena leads the series 42-22 as the teams meet up for the 65th time. The Jaspers last defeated the Saints in Draddy Gymnasium on December 30, 2016, when Manhattan rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to take the win 68-66. It was the Jaspers' first MAAC win of the 2016-17 season and Head Coach Heather Vulin's first league win of her head coaching career.
