Riverdale, NY - On a day that featured over one-hundred Manhattan College Men's Soccer alumni in attendance, the Jaspers throttled Marist 5-0 Saturday afternoon at Gaelic Park.

With the win, Manhattan is 2-0-0 in the MAAC and 5-4-0 overall. Marist falls to 1-1-0 in the MAAC and 5-5-0 in 2017.

The Jaspers broke the ice in the 23rd minute. Sophomore Noah Amissah (London, England / Orleans Park) fired a shot that hit the crossbar. As the Red Foxes attempted to clear, junior Callum Carsley (Birmingham, England / Princethorpe College) pounced on a loose ball 20 yards out and found the back of the net for his third goal.

Manhattan carried the 1-0 lead into halftime. During the break, every former Jasper soccer player that made the trek to Riverdale was honored at midfield. The event celebrated players from 1967 all the way to last year.

The Jaspers erupted out of the second half gate. Senior Troy Carrington (Verona, NJ / Syracuse) bursted through the Marist defense and netted his second score of the season in the 47th minute to make it 2-0.

In the 65th minute, after sophomore Marcellin Gohier (Pouance, France / CENS) made a save on Marist's Allen Gavilanes, junior Lucas Da Silva (West Palm Beach, FL / Palm Beach Atlantic) volleyed a shot over Red Foxes keeper Mark Rajovic, increasing Manhattan's lead to three.

Da Silva wasn't finished. Fifteen minutes later, he floated a ball past new netminder Ryan Sinnott for a 4-0 edge and his team-leading fifth goal of the year.

Freshman Brandon Joseph-Buadi capped the scoring at 5-0 in the 89th minute when he stole the ball from a Marist defender and popped the ball over the goalie's head.
