Raising the Bar
In just seven games, the Jaspers have already surpassed numerous offensive categories from last year. Manhattan has scored 12 goals this year compared to nine from last year. Joe Hulme led the team with two goals in 2016, but junior Lucas Da Silva and sophomore Noah Amissah have notched three scores each so far in 2017. As a team, the Jaspers increased their shots per game (9.8 in 2016 to 11.9 in 2017) and shot percentage (.05 in 2016 to .145 in 2017).

Newcomer Contributions
With 12 new players on this year's team, Manhattan has seen fresh faces aid the come up in strong opportunities. On top of Da Silva's team-leading seven points, junior Callum Carsley has scored five points, leads the team in shots and captured Manhattan's first Offensive Player of the Week honors in eight years. Freshman Brandon Joseph-Buadi is already a MAAC Rookie of the Week recipient. Sophomore goalkeeper Marcellin Gohier paces the team with two wins and a 1.09 goals-against average.
