Bronx, NY – Fueled by three first half goals, Fordham bested Manhattan 3-0 Wednesday evening at Jack Coffey Field in the 45th matchup of the Battle of the Bronx.
With the loss, the Jaspers drop to 3-4 on the season. The Rams improve to 5-2-1.
Neither side generated any momentum on offense in the opening minutes, as the first shot in the game didn't occur until the sixth minute. In the 15th minute, Rams junior Janos Loebe fired a shot on Jaspers goalkeeper

In the 27th minute, Janos Loebe occupied the left corner and crossed the ball into Manhattan's box. Joergen Oland jumped in the air and headed the pass in to increase the Rams' lead to two.
Four minutes afterwards, Fordham was awarded a penalty kick, and Jannik Loebe converted for his second of the game to give the Rams a 3-0 edge.
The Jaspers improved in the second half. Gohier nabbed a shot from Janos Loebe while Jannik Loebe's attempt for a hat trick was blocked in the 56th minute. In the 62nd minute, Manhattan senior
Troy Carrington (Verona, NJ / Syracuse) fired a ball on net, but Fordham netminder Rashid Nuhu made the stop.
In the final 10 minutes of the game, reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week
