After the Golden Griffins got the second out, junior Michael Pfenninger (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) tied the game up at 2-2 with an infield single while chasing home pinch-runner Adam Genners (Jr., Jacksonville, FL / Stanton College Prep).
Canisius had taken a 2-1 lead in the seventh on a Jake Burlingame solo home run.
The visitors, which spotted the Golden Griffins a first-inning run, dented the scoreboard for the first time in the top of the fourth as sophomore Fabian Pena (Miami, FL / Calusa Prep) led off with a double before moving to third on a Brown sacrifice bunt. Forlow then plated Pena with a sacrifice fly to right.
