With a Win…

Manhattan has won a program-record 10 matches on four occasions (1991, 1990, 1980, 1977).

The winner of the game would move on to the MAAC Semifinals on Thursday, November 9 at #1 Fairfield or #2 Rider, depending on the outcome of the Canisius/Iona game.

A Tremendous 2017

Manhattan has already had one of its finest seasons in recent memory. The Jaspers improved their win total by seven games and allowed the fewest goals in program history at 15. The 6-3-1 conference record is the best under Head Coach Jorden Scott. In addition, Manhattan was first in the MAAC with a .817 save percentage and a .88 goals-against average.

The Jaspers also received impressive individual performances in 2017. Newcomer Lucas Da Silva finished the regular season with a team-high eight goals, which was also fourth-best in the MAAC. Junior Callum Carsley led the Green & White in his first season in Riverdale with five assists and 32 shots. In goal, Marcellin Gohier has ranked in the Top-15 nationally with a .862 save percentage, allowing only eight goals in 13 games.

Scouting The Bobcats

Quinnipiac heads into the postseason at 7-9-1 overall and 6-4-0 in conference play after being voted as the preseason favorite. The Bobcats have won four of their past five, most recently defeating Saint Peter's 4-1. Rashawn Dally netted a hat trick while Max Rothenbuecher added another score.

Dally leads the team with five goals on the season. In net, Chrysostomos Iakovidis has played all 1,568 minutes, allowing 18 goals while collecting 39 saves across 17 contests.

Series History

The Jaspers and Bobcats meet for the second time this year. Quinnipiac won a close 1-0 matchup in Riverdale back on October 14. Eamon Whelan's tally in the 38th minute was the only score, while Gohier stopped two shots.

Since joining the MAAC in 2013, Quinnipiac is 4-0-1 versus Manhattan.
