Erica Modena (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) recorded her second career hat trick to lift Manhattan to a rousing 5-0 win over Canisius at Gaelic Park.

Modena's three scores came within the first 26 minutes of action as the Jaspers improve to 7-6-1 and 5-2 in the MAAC while the Golden Griffins fall to 7-7-1 and 2-5-1 in the league.
Manhattan's offensive outburst started in the 13th minute when sophomore
Arianna Montefusco (Levittown, NY / General Douglas MacArthur) found a streaking Modena, who easily beat the goalkeeper on a 1v1 opportunity.Â
In the 20th minute, Montefusco was fouled in the box and Modena converted the penalty kick before executing another penalty kick opportunity in the 26th minute after junior
Caroline Taylor (Glen Rock, NJ / Glen Rock) also drew a foul in the box.

Annie Doerr (Pittsford, NJ / Our Lady of Mercy) extended the lead out to 4-0 in the 38th minute with her first career goal with freshman
Lindsey Healy (Sussex, NJ / Pope John XXIII Regional) notching the assist.

Bri DeLeo (Harriman, NY / Monroe-Woodbury) capped the scoring with her first career goal in the 60th minute.

Kelly DiGregorio (Centerreach, NY / St. Anthony's) secured the win, making one save in 67:57 of action with sophomore
Camryn Nici (Seaford, NY / St. Anthony's) completing the shutout.
