Ranagan's six draw controls give her 73 for the season while breaking her previous record of 70 set last season. The senior, who entered the day 11th nationally with 4.79 per game, now has 246 in her outstanding career.
The Jaspers fall to 4-11 and 0-6 in the MAAC while the Gaels improve to 9-6 and 4-2 in the league.
After scoring her first two collegiate goals the last time out, freshman
Caitlin Murphy (Carmel, NY / Carmel) found the back of the net just over three minutes into the contest off a pass from senior
Claire Roediger (Katonah, NY / Somers).
Iona then registered four-straight goals only to be answered with unassisted scores from sophomore
Kara Hodapp (Oak Ridge, NJ / Jefferson Township) and senior
Megan Yarusso (Brewster, NY / Brewster) to trim the deficit to 4-3.
Unfortunately, the Gaels ended the half on a 4-1 run in taking an 8-4 halftime advantage with Roediger providing the final Manhattan tally of the stanza.
After halftime, Ranagan scored three goals while junior
Sarah Lang (Golden's Bridge, NJ / Vermont) also found the back of the net for the Jaspers.
Ranagan, who now has a team-best 27 goals and 99 points for her career, notched her fifth hat trick of the year to pace the offense.

Kaitlyn Cunningham (Spring Lake, NJ / Red Bank Catholic) and freshman
