Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist swept a doubleheader against Manhattan by scores of 13-7 and 14-2 at McCann Field.
The Jaspers are now 9-22 and 2-6 in the MAAC while the Red Foxes improve to 16-14 and 8-3 in the league.

Freshman
Fabian Pena (Miami, FL / Calusa Prep) continued his outstanding rookie season, finishing 2-for-3 with his fourth home run of the year, a sacrifice fly and a walk. Senior
Christian Santisteban matched Pena with two RBI while going 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Freshman
Anthony Rocchietti (Green Brook, NJ / Watchung) rounded out the multi-hit performers, finishing up 2-for-4.
The Red Foxes scored seven runs in the decisive second inning before the Jaspers quickly answered with two in the third. Junior
Jose Carrera (Miami, FL / St. Brendan) led off with a walk and freshman
Richie Barrella (Larchmont, NY / Canterbury Prep) followed with a single. Santisteban then plated Carrera with a run-scoring double before Pena followed with a sacrifice fly.
Marist immediately got those two runs back in the bottom part of the frame and added three more in the fourth in opening up a 12-2 advantage.
Pena trimmed the deficit to 12-3 in the fifth with a solo home run to left field.
The Jaspers would add two more runs in each of their last two trips to the plate sandwiched between a Red Fox score in providing the final 13-7 margin.
Anthony Lazar went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI to pace five multi-hit performers for the Red Foxes.
Sophomore LHP
Tom Cosgrove (Staten Island, NY / Farrell) was saddled with the loss, yielding seven earned runs over 3.1 innings with three strikeouts.
Sean Keenan (5-2) earned the win, striking out five while yielding five runs on eight hits and three walks over 7.0 innings.

Every Marist player hit safely with seven recording at least two as Charlie Jerla (4-4) earned the win, yielding two runs with four strikeouts over 6.0 innings.
