Easton, PA - Lafayette defated Manhattan 19-10 in non-conference action at Fisher Stadium.
The Leopards improve to 1-0 while the Jaspers fall to 1-1.
Freshman Molly Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, NY / Lakeland) opened the scoring before Lafayette scored nine of the next 10 goals en route to taking a 10-4 lead into the break.
After halftime, Manhattan would trim the deficit to four on a pair of occasionsonly to see the Leopards respond by notching the final five goals of the match.
Fitzpatrick would finish with a career-high four goals while senior Stefanie Ranagan (Yorktown Heights, NY / Yorktown) recorded her second-straight hat trick with three scores.
Senior Kaitlyn Cunningham (Spring Lake, NJ / Red Bank Catholic) also had a solid night with a team-best four ground balls.
The Jaspers host UMass Lowell on Wednesday, February 24 with opening draw slated for 3:00 p.m.
