Riverdale, NY - Nadya Gill's goal in the 53rd minute proved to be the game-winner as Manhattan dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to Quinnipiac at Gaelic Park.

The Jaspers had an opportunity to tie the match in the 82nd minute as freshman Arianna Montefusco (Levittown, NY / General Douglas MacArthur) blasted a shot from 25 yards that was bending toward the upper left corner of the goal. Unfortunately, she was denied at the last second when Olivia Myszewski's full-extension leap knocked the ball off course.

In defeat, Manhattan falls to 4-8 and 2-3 in the MAAC while the Bobcats improve to 7-4-1 and 3-2 in the league.

Gill found the back of the net after Jess Fontaine's cross hit freshman Olivia Printy's (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL / St. Joseph Academy) hand and the reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year deposited the ball into the back of the net.

The Jaspers had their opportunities with three corner kicks in the final nine-plus minutes of action only to be denied each time by a stout Quinnipiac defense.

Printy made two saves in defeat while Myszewski notched one stop in earning the win.

Manhattan will return to action at Saint Peter's on Saturday, October 8 with first kick slated for 12:00 pm.
