Riverdale, NY - Junior Dylan Burns (Manchester, CT / Manchester) scored her second goal of the year while freshman Olivia Printy (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL / St. Joseph Academy) made a career-high eight saves to lift Manhattan to a season-ending 1-0 win over Fairfield.

The victory snapped a 13-match winless streak against the Stags (3-13-2; 2-6-2 MAAC) that dated back to the 2004 season and is just the third-ever win in the series for the Jaspers (6-10-1; 4-5-1 MAAC).

Fairfield had the first opportunity of the match in the sixth minute as leading scorer Brenna Brown had just the keeper to beat but held the ball one second to long and was swarmed by the Manhattan defense. Brown did manage to get a good look but was swiftly denied by Printy, who set the tone for the night.

That play seemed to wake up the Jasper offense, which recorded eight of the next nine shots. Burns capped the spurt when her shot into the left corner off freshman Arianna Montefusco's (Levittown, NY / General Douglas MacArthur) blocked shot found the back of the net in the 26th minute.

Printy would make two more shots in the half while the Manhattan defense was able to fight off three Stag corner kicks.

After halftime, Printy turned away four Fairfield shots in the first 25 minutes of the second half while Elena Santos was denied by the crossbar. Printy's play seemed to deflate the Stags' offensive effort as the visitors managed just two shots the rest of the way.

Manhattan had one more major opportunity in the 72nd minute but was stunted by an impressive Fairfield defensive effort. Sophomore Nicole Copping (Blue Point, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) fired a shot off a corner kick but was denied by Stag keeper Megan DeFeo before junior Nicole Aylmer (Garnerville, NY / North Rockland) picked up the redirect and fired a shot that was blocked. On the third attempt, Aylmer fired another shot toward the lower left corner of the goal only to be denied by a Fairfield defender.

Burns and Montefusco each finished the year tied for second on the team with five points on the strength of two goals and one assist apiece.

Printy earned the win, making the aforementioned career-high eight saves.
