STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Wagner scored six runs in the bottom of the third to break open what was a close game en route to posting a 9-3 win over Manhattan at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

In defeat, the Jaspers fall to 14-28 while the Seahawks improve to 21-15-1.

After last night's big comeback, Manhattan picked up where it left off in the first inning, stringing together a pair of hits and a walk en route to recording the game's first run.

Sophomore Matt Forlow (Cold Spring, N.Y. / Haldane) laced a one-out single before senior Chris Kalousdian (Fort Salonga, N.Y. / Kings Park) followed suit with a single of his own while extending his hitting streak to 15 games. Junior Christian Santisteban (Miami, Fla. / Gulliver Prep) proceeded to walk and load the bases for senior Joe McClennan (Highland Mills, N.Y. / Cornwall Central), who delivered with a sacrifice fly that scored Forlow.

Wagner responded with a run in the bottom of the second when Anthony Godino chased home Nick Dini with a sacrifice fly.

One inning later, the Seahawks broke the game open with six runs while sending 10 batters to the plate in opening up a 7-1 lead.

Wagner would tack on one more before the Jaspers scored their second run in the top of the seventh. Junior Chris Reynolds (Wall, N.J. / St. Rose) led off with a single before stealing second and would cross the plate on Forlow's second hit of the game while cutting the deficit to 8-2.

The Seahawks immediately got that run back before Bisset plated senior Vin Teixeira (Hamden, Conn. / Hamden Hall Country Day) in the top of the ninth with a run-scoring double while providing the final 9-3 tally.

Bisset led the way for Manhattan, notching his first career three-hit game while Forlow and Reynolds each recorded two hits.

Nick Mascelli was 3-for-4 with two runs while Dini went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI to pace Wagner. RHP Nick Pavia (4-0) earned the win with 3.0 innings of two-hit ball.

The Jaspers return to action on Saturday, May 2 against Rider at Dutchess Stadium with first pitch slated for 2 p.m.

Prior to the game, Manhattan's seven seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
