RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan men's and women's swimming and diving teams split a multi-team meet on Saturday afternoon. The event marked the final home race of the season, and final home meet for the eight seniors.

The men defeated Monmouth by a 125-65 final, while the women fell to Siena, 156-49, lost to LIU Brooklyn, 133-70, but upended Monmouth, 158-30.

For the men, seniors Thomas Dougherty (Fresh Meadow, NY / Archbishop Molloy), Marcus Gilliland (Honolulu, HI / Kamehameha), Lance Neuendorf (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee), Dallan Treanor (Monroe, NY / Monroe-Woodbury) and freshman Evan Battisti (East Meadow, NY / East Meadow) were named Co-Performers of the Meet.

On the women's side, seniors Nicole Maher (West Nyack, NY / Pearl River), Paige Raccioppi (West Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland), Michaela Schatz (Tucson, AZ / Salpointe Catholic) and Lauren Sciarrotto (Mt. Sinai, NY / Mt. Sinai) were highlighted as Co-Performers of the Meet.

The men raced to many top finishes, beginning with the 200 medley relay. Treanor, juniors Christopher Reyes (Queens, NY / St. Francis Prep) and Rich Llewellyn (East Islip, NY / East Islip), and sophomore Neil Perry (Elkridge, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) combined for a 1:39.50 to take first place.

Battisti raced exceptionally well in the meet, swimming to first place finishes in both the 1000- and 500 freestyle events, with times of 10:15.18 and 4:55.00, respectively.

In the 200 freestyle, Llewellyn touched in at 1:50.19, placing him in first. Perry clocked a 22.22 in the 50 freestyle to collect a top finish.

In the final race of the day, the four seniors grabbed their last home first place result with a 1:32.22 in the 200 freestyle relay.

For the women, sophomore Alexandra Hutzler earned the best finish by placing second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:15.76.

The Jaspers will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 2, when both the men's and women's squads battle crosstown rival, Fordham, at 6 p.m.
