JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Manhattan concluded the 2014 season with a rousing 4-2 win over Saint Peter's at Jaroschak Field.

With their 17th-straight victory over the Peacocks, the Jaspers finish the year with an 8-8-2 record, including posting a 3-5-2 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). In defeat, Saint Peter's falls to 1-18 and 1-9 in the league.

Manhattan opened the scoring in the 36th minute when Tara Teal (Delmar, N.Y. / Bethlehem) notched her first goal of the season off a pass from senior Aislinn McIlvenny (Pleasant Valley, N.Y. / Arlington).

The Jaspers would extend the lead out to 2-0 in the 58th minute when sophomore Lizzy Carlson (Auburn, Mass. / Auburn) recorded her second goal of the season off a pass from Teal.

Saint Peter's would respond just 40 seconds later when Greta Vogel sliced the lead to 2-1.

McIlvenny then found the back of the net for the 10th time this season on a penalty kick in the 64th minute to stretch the lead out to 3-1.

Just over two minutes later, the Peacocks answered when Devon Williams converted a penalty kick of her own to trim the deficit to 3-2.

Freshman Dylan Burns (Manchester, Conn. / Manchester) then put the game away with her first collegiate goal off a pass from classmate Carly Perry (Dellwood, Minn. / Mahtomedi) in the 74th minute to provide what would prove to be the final 4-2 count.

McIlvenny notched a goal and an assist to lead the way for the Jaspers while finishing an incredible season that has seen the senior account for 10 goals, including a MAAC-best six game-winning scores, and four assists. Additionally, McIlvenny had a hand in 70 percent of Manhattan's scoring.

Teal also matched McIlvenny with a score and an assist to round out the top performers for a Jasper squad that recorded a season-high four goals.

Junior Kristen Skonieczny (LaGrangeville, N.Y. / Arlington) made four saves in the net to finish the season with an 8-6-1 record.
