Niagara University, N.Y. (February 18, 2007)?Annie McIntyre hit a three-pointer with 0.6 seconds remaining to break a 67-67 tie, giving the Lady Jaspers a dramatic win over the Purple Eagles Sunday afternoon. Kelly Regan tied her career high with 22 points as the Lady Jaspers improve to 6-10 in the MAAC and 9-18 overall. Niagara falls to 5-11 in the MAAC and 13-14 overall.

With Manhattan leading 67-65, Niagara's Chantelle Wilson hit two foul shots to tie the score at 67 with 30.8 seconds remaining. After a Niagara timeout, Manhattan brought the ball up the court and milked all but six seconds off the clock before calling a timeout of their own. After receiving the inbounds pass McIntyre dribbled around before stepping up and drilling her shot from the left-hand elbow with just 0.6 seconds remaining to give Manhattan the win.

Manhattan trailed 56-51 with 6:49 to play after a 9-4 Niagara run, but the Lady Jaspers answered with a 10-4 run, capped off by a three-pointer by Gabrielle Cottrell that gave Manhattan the lead for good at 61-60 with 3:56 to play. Regan was a big factor during the run, scoring six points.

The Lady Jaspers and Buffalo native Regan started the game hot, as Manhattan shot 48 percent from the field as a team in the first half, and Regan scored 10 points on 5-6 shooting. Regan made her impact early in the half, scoring eight of Manhattan's first 13 points, and helping the Lady Jaspers to an early four point lead. With 13:20 left in the half, a turnaround jumper by Regan gave Manhattan a 13-9 lead and was the beginning of a 7-4 Manhattan run over the next two minutes that gave the Lady Jaspers a 20-13 lead. Flood would knock down two foul shots to finish the run and would score 11 points over the final 11:09 of the half, as both teams went back and forth leading to a 33-33 score at the break.
