Riverdale, N.Y. (January 29, 2007)?The Lady Jaspers will make their first appearance on TV this season, as MSG will carry this afternoon's contest between the Lady J's and the Peahens from the Yanitelli Center in Jersey City, N.J. Today's Game:  The Lady Jaspers and Saint Peter's meet this afternoon in a MAAC contest broadcast on MSG. Manhattan has won two of three games, holding on to beat Canisius 56-55 at Draddy Gymnasium last Thursday. The Lady Jaspers will be looking to keep playing well and continue to position itself for the MAAC Tournament against its second most faced opponent. Today's game is the 60th all-time meeting between the two schools.

Last Time Out: Amanda LoCascio converted a three-point play with 4.3 seconds remaining to lift the Lady Jaspers over Canisius 56-55. After Canisius' Jessie Lamparski sunk a three-pointer with 37 seconds left gave the Golden Griffins a 55-53 lead, Manhattan called a 30 second timeout to set up the final play.  LoCascio missed a pull up jumper, she was able to recover the loose ball and put up a shot in traffic that fell through, while drawing a foul in the process. LoCascio then stepped to the line and calmly sunk the foul shot that put Manhattan ahead. Canisius still had a chance to go ahead, but Jenna Franciosa blocked Megan Lyte's last second shot to preserve the win.

On the Horizon: Following today's game, Manhattan goes back on the road to take on Fairfield for the first time this season on Friday night. The Lady Jaspers will then return home to take on Marist on Super Bowl Sunday.

Career High: Sophomore center Kelly Regan scored a career high 22 points last Thursday against Canisius. The 6-2 Regan, a native of Western New York, has played well against the two schools from that area. Last season, Regan scored 11 and 14 points at Canisius and Niagara, which won her MAAC Rookie of the Week honors.
