Philadelphia, Pa. (February 28, 2006)- The Manhattan College women's lacrosse team opened the 2006 season today, dropping a 15-2 decision to Drexel this afternoon at Vidas Field.
The Lady Jaspers fell behind early, as the Dragons scored the first 10 goals of the game before
Brenna Tinari broke through with a tally at the 3:25 mark of the first half.
Tinari also played a role in the second Manhattan goal, as she fed
Jenny Carman for the Lady Jaspers' second tally with 15:16 left in the game.
Ashley Devins made a game-high seven saves in net, while
Anne Staudt,
Molly Pheterson, and
Katelyn Williams each picked up a team-high three groundballs.
The Lady Jaspers get back in action on Thursday, March 2, playing at Columbia University at 3:00 p.m.
