Sarah Szotak and
Susie Mothes each won individual events, but the Lady Jaspers fell at CW Post, 113-76, on Saturday afternoon.
Mothes' winning time of 11:52.30 in the 1000 free was the second fastest in the history of Manhattan swimming, and outdistanced the second place swimmer by over four seconds.
Szotak touched first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:05.98, closely followed by
Maura McGowan, who placed second with a time of 1:07.07.
The Lady Jaspers also scored well in the 200 free, taking second through fourth places, as McGowan placed second (2:07.06),
Heather Kennedy was third, and
Lauren Sullivan was fourth.
Manhattan returns to the pool on Friday, February 3, traveling to Fairfield, Conn. to take on MAAC foe Fairfield at 6:00 p.m.
