JASPERS EARN QUALIFYING MARKS AT THE SEA RAY RELAYS

Knoxville, TN (April 10, 2004) - On the third and final day of the Sea Ray Relays three Jaspers earned NCAA qualifying marks in their events. Michael Freeman qualified in the Hammer Throw after his first place toss of 60.94m. Teammate Anders Constantin followed close behind finishing second and also qualifying in the Hammer Throw after his toss of 59.79m. His toss placed him second in the competition. In the Long Jump, Magnus Ahlen finished fifth with a leap of 7.40m earning a qualifying mark for the NCAA Regionals in Gainesville, FL.

The women's Distance Medley Relay placed seventh overall finishing in a time of 11:59.71. The relay consisted of Rachel McGee (3:40.00), Michanne Campbell (57.5), Michelle Jones (2:21.8), and Therese Forsberg (4:59.71).

At the Columbia Invitational Nils Petterson finished the Decathlon with 6,195 points qualifying for the IC4A. Andrew Pellet broke a personal record in the Decathlon earning 5200 points.

The Jaspers compete again on April 16-17 when they compete at the Metropolitan Championships.
