Stony Brook, NY (September 25, 2003) - The Lady Jaspers dropped a close game today to the seawolves of Stony Brook. Manhattan lost in four games , by scores of 24-30, 25-30, 30-25, and 26-30, with the loss the Lady Jaspers fall to 3-10 on the season.

Luka Van Cauteren tallied 20 kills, 28 assists and 13 digs, leading the way for Manhattan. Two newcomers put forth solid efforts in the loss, freshman
Whitney Judkins notched 10 kills with a .444 hitting percentage and junior transfer
Helena Ward recorded 6 kills, 13 digs with a .308 hitting percentage.
Leading the way for the Seawolves was Rachel Goldsmith who tallied 25 kills, 12 digs with a .283 hitting percentage. Julie Zub recorded 54 assists and 13 digs helping Stony Brook record its fourth straight victory and improve to 5-8 on the season.
The Lady Jaspers return to action next Wednesday when they head to Jersey city, NJ to face MAAC rival St. Peter's.
