West Point, NY (September 2, 2003) The Lady Jaspers fell to the Army Black Knights 3-0 today at Clinton Field. Manhattan's overall record is now 0-2-0.
Two out of the three goals of the game came in the first half. The first goal of the game came in the first three minutes when Alison Mulnix put one past Manhattan goalkeeper
Jeanne Marie Gilbert. With a little less than twelve minutes left in the first half Delaney Brown finished a penalty kick giving Army a two goal lead. The Black Knight's Michelle Veach completed the scoring in the 69th minute of the game with an unassisted goal.
Katie Kuntz replaced Gilbert in net after twenty minutes of play. Kuntz finished with five saves. Army's goalie Morgan Bennett had three saves.
Manhattan will play again on Sunday, September 7th when they will play against the University of Maine in Orono, ME at 1:00 p.m.
