Samera Marsh

Samera Marsh is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Jaspers.  The Bronx native came to Manhattan after five years at Monroe College in New Rochelle, and she also has previous coaching experience at MAAC rival Saint Peter’s.

Marsh was the top assistant at Monroe from 2010-15.  She was responsible for recruiting, academics and strength & conditioning, as well as post player development.  Two of Marsh’s post players received NJCAA All-America honors, and 11 Monroe players moved on to NCAA four-year institutions.  During her five seasons, the Mustangs won four district titles and consecutive NJCAA National Championships in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Prior to her time at Monroe, she was an assistant coach at Saint Peter’s for two seasons (2008-09, 2009-10).  Marsh was involved in post player development and recruiting while also serving as the Peacocks’ video coordinator.  In addition, she was in charge of running the Saint Peter’s basketball camp.

A 2008 graduate of Saint Peter’s, she was the manager for the Peacocks’ women’s basketball team as an undergraduate before being elevated to assistant coach.
