Brandon Gade

Brandon Gade joined the Manhattan coaching staff in the summer of 2015.  A 2011 graduate of the University of Connecticut, he came to Riverdale after one season at Yale University.

While at Yale, Gade was responsible for wing player development, while also assisting with opponent scouting and recruiting.  Prior to his time at Yale, he was an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Albertus Magnus College for two years.  Gade began his collegiate coaching career at Queens University, a Division II school in Charlotte, N.C., during the 2011-12 season.

A 2011 graduate of the University of Connecticut, he was a practice player for the Huskies’ women’s basketball team in 2008-09.  That season, UConn, led by Maya Moore and Tina Charles, started its NCAA-record 90-game winning streak, going 39-0 and winning the National Championship.

During his junior and senior years at Connecticut, he was the head JV and assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach at E.O. Smith High School, located right next to the UConn campus.
