FIVE TRACK MEMBERS QUALIFIED FOR THE NCAA REGIONALS AT THE BALDY CASTILLO INVITATIONAL

Tempe, AZ (March 20, 2004)- Four of the Jaspers Hammer Throwers qualified for the IC4A's and the NCAA Regionals. Thomas Jacob Freeman was back throwing for Manhattan earning a first place finish with a throw of 68.92m. Michael Freeman's throw of 61.40m earned him second place. Zoran Loncar took fifth with a toss of 58.92m and Anders Constantin finished ninth throwing 58.61m. Also qualifying for the IC4A's and the NCAA Regionals is Adeniyi Omisore. Omisore qualified in the Triple Jump after his jump of 15.38m placing him first in the competition.

The men's 4x100m Relay team, Magnus Ahlen, Omisore, Paul Henry, and Kurt Forsyth, qualified for the IC4A finishing in a time of 42.42. The women's 4x800m Relay team, Rachel McGee, Linn Modin, Therese Forsberg, and Lisa Naucler, finished second with a time of 9:12.60. This time qualified them for the ECAC.

Ahlen leaped 7.26m in the Long Jump earning him second place. Janek Augustynowicz finished fourth in the Long Jump after his jump of 7.01m. Augustynowicz also competed in the Triple Jump finishing sixth after his jump of 14.21m. Anders Constantin finished in seventh place throwing 15.02m in the Shot Put. Loncar broke his personal best record in the Discus throwing 43.78m. Kurt Forsyth ran the 200m in 22.41. Rajne Svennsohn ran the 110m Hurdles in 15.03. Raymond equaled his best time in the 1500m running in 3:52.23. Matt Reilly was less than three seconds behind Raymond finishing in a time of 3:55.04 breaking his personal record. Raymond and Reilly also broke their 800m records in the outdoor season. Raymond with a time of 1:53.84 and Reilly in a time of 1:55.14.

Jenna Daly broke the school record and broke her own personal record in the Outdoor Pole Vault. Her vault of 3.55m beats her indoor record by .15m. Forsberg ran the 1500m in a personal best time of 4:33.80. Linn Modin and Ginine Lucarello also broke personal records in the 1500m. Modin finishing in a time of 4:45.90 and Lucarello in a time of 4:52.09. Naucler also competed in the 1500m running in a time of 4:45.90 finishing ninth. In the women's Triple Jump Julia Audette finished sixth with a jump of 10.42m and Renee Foti finished seventh with a jump of 10.12m. Karin Larsson competed in the High Jump clearing 1.58m along with teammate Jessica Jansson. Jansson also competed in the women's Shot Put finishing eighth throwing 11.88m breaking her personal best record.

The Jaspers compete again on Saturday, March 27 at the Navy Invitational at 10 am.
