HAMDEN, CT – In a see-saw type affair, the Manhattan Jaspers baseball team (9-16, 4-7 MAAC) held strong following a Bobcats of Quinnipiac University (13-11-1, 7-4 MAAC) comeback attempt, which saw the Green and White claim a 9-8 victory on Saturday afternoon.

STATS AND NOTES

QUOTES FROM THE JASPERS:

Head Coach Steven Rosen: "Our team really feels for Preston Tamm, who has been such a rock for us in the early part of the season and had to leave the game with the fear of an arm injury. You can tell the boys rallied around doing it for Preston, and that win was for him today. I am very proud of Andrew Brown, coming in on short notice and filled a big part of the game, as well as Chris Fidanza, who came in to get the last nine outs. Our offense continues to string quality at-bats together and is showing what we're capable of. Jobs are not finished, and our sets are set to take a series tomorrow."

NEXT UP:

Manhattan resumes play tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, beginning at 1 p.m. for the rubber game of the three-game set. The contest can be viewed on ESPN+ with a paid subscription.
