NEW HAVEN, CT — When the lights went on at Coxe Cage on Saturday, the Jaspers came out ready to compete. Saturday's compiled results included Darion Lopez sprinting to a school-record (6.84 seconds) in the 60-meter race, surpassing former Jasper Kaya Simpson's 6.85 standard set in 2023.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Darion Lopez delivered a memory for the ages by setting the school record in the 60m, which earned him fourth place overall.

In the Men's Weight Throw, senior Peter Athanailos and freshman Daniel McWilliams notched PRs with throws of 15.11m and 14.12m, good for 12th and 18th, respectively.

Freshman Thomas Bonsignore rushed to a PR of 50.57s in the Men's 400m for 8th place. Lopez finished right behind in 9th while sophomore Malik Coleman notched 12th place.

In the Men's 3000m, the Jaspers' final event of the day, junior Jaxon Newton finished the first heat in 4th place, setting a PR of 8:27. Junior Adrian Alonso and senior Jack Flanagan also mustered PRs in the 3000m with times of 8:58.42 and 9:01.80, respectively.

In the Men's Triple Jump, freshman Theo Lodge logged 5th place at 13.37m.

In the Men's High Jump, junior Nate Alvarez launched himself up 1.80m to capture 7th place.

Sophomore Thomas Dubnov Raz captured fifth place in the Men's 200m race, clocking in at 22.7 seconds. Additionally, Dubnov Raz finished in 10th place in the Men's Long Jump with a score of 6.75m.

Freshman Rasmus Jaeger took 10th place in the Men's 800m with a time of 1:55.98.

In the Men's 1000m, Adam Guzman, Brendan Lucey and Brendan Chan placed 4th, 5th and 6th, respectively.

Sophomore Jaiden Bradshaw posted a PR of 25.06 in the Men's 200m event.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Freshman Tranira Booker turned heads with her performance in the Women's 60m, setting a new PR with a time of 7.79 seconds for 8th place.

Junior Isabella Sing finished in 11th in the Women's Long Jump with a mark of 5.25m.

Junior Makayla Dorvil notched a PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.28 seconds.

The 400m event featured a 9th and 10th place showing by freshman Ellianne Fernandez and senior Martina Martinez, respectively.

Senior Kylie Conroy placed 9th with a time of 2:21.55 in the Women's 800m race and sophomore Julia Hendricks finished in 11th with a pace of 2:23.54

UP NEXT
Next weekend, the Jaspers will make the short trek to "The Armory" located on West 168th street for the MAAC Championships. The two-day championships will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday.
