RIVERDALE, NY — Manhattan (7-6, 1-3 MAAC) defeated the Rider Broncs (2-10, 0-3 MAAC) convincingly on Saturday afternoon at Draddy Gymnasium by a final score of 81-40. Manhattan bounced back from a tough loss to Siena with an explosive offensive performance, receiving contributions from four double-digit scorers led by Tegan Young's 19 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Manhattan set the tone offensively to start the game with baskets by Ines Gimenez Monserrat and Nitzan Amar to take an early 4-0 lead.

Monserrat continued scoring for Manhattan with back-to-back baskets giving the Jaspers an 8-5 lead at the 6:59 mark of the first quarter.

Manhattan went on an 18-4 run to end the first quarter, including 9-0 over the final 2:45, to take a commanding 26-9 lead entering the second stanza.

Monserrat began the second quarter with a jump shot at 9:45 to increase Manhattan's lead to 19.

Vulin on the rehabs of Hana Muhl and the two freshmen Alexis Rosenfeld and Ella Chandler: "We're hoping they will be back on the court sooner than later but they've been super involved in every practice, and being vocal in whatever they can do to help us. Hana is one of the best players in our league so we're hoping to get her back sooner than later."
