-Manhattan had four set points in the second set (26-25, 27-26, 28-27, 29-28) before dropping it. The 62-point set was the Jaspers' longest of 2024 so far.
-Laila Glover contributed 11 kills and Maike Bertens recorded 9 kills to go along with her 16 digs.
-Glover's breakout moment came in the second set when her first kill gave the Jaspers' an early 4-3 lead. Junior setter Sarah Emmons later set up Glover for back to back kills which cut the Jaspers' deficit to 16-13. Emmons also left her imprint on the kills category with a pair set dumps late in the second set which kept Manhattan right in it.
-Emmons finished with 31 assists, 6 digs and 2 kills.
Next Time Out
Manhattan will look to get on the right track when they host Canisius (9-10, 5-3) at 1 PM on Sunday. The program will host their Dig Pink Game to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer. All fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the cause.
