STORRS, Conn. - The Manhattan men's soccer team fell on the road to UConn, 3-0, tonight at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium at Rizza Performance Center in Storrs, Conn.

"The team has faced tremendous adversity during our non-conference period and they continue to show determination and great spirit that will lead us into the MAAC positively," said Head Coach Jorden Scott. "We believe in ourselves and now we need to show it when it truly matters."

The home team scored in the 3rd and 18th minutes to take a 2-0 halftime advantage. Coming out of the break, the Jaspers were able to move the ball swiftly keeping the Huskies at bay, until UConn found another opening in the 71st minute to take a 3-0 lead that would eventually hold for the final score.

Jasper goalkeeper Danny DiMarco made three saves on the night. Manhattan had 17 shots, four on goal during the contest. Ziv Dahan led all Jasper with four shots.

Manhattan will return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 16 when it hosts Canisius to open up Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play on Alumni Day. The alumni will play at 9:30 a.m., before the game against the Golden Griffins at noon.
