Ogden, U.T. – Manhattan went zero for three in the Wildcat Invitational, dropping all three matches this weekend.
Today, against the Trailblazers, the Jaspers kept each set within 10 points, coming closest in the second set. Despite this hard-fought effort, the Jaspers ultimately lost the match 25-19.
In all three sets, the Jaspers were able to score the first point against the Trailblazers; however, they were unable to maintain the momentum throughout the rest of each set.
Camila Gomez led the Jaspers on offense with eight kills, followed by Maike Bertens with six kills. Sarah Emmons again led the team in assists with 14.
Manhattan begins play again on Friday, September 1st, at 7:00 p.m. against Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA, in the Red Flash Classic.
