BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Manhattan baseball team dropped a 4-2 decision in game two of its MAAC series against the Canisius Golden Griffins Saturday evening at Demske Sports Complex.

Game three of the series is scheduled for 12 p.m. tomorrow.

Canisius strung together some offense in the fourth inning to score the game's run, utilizing a hit by pitch and a pair of singles to take a 1-0 lead.

Manhattan got the equalizer in the sixth inning. Logan Pfannenbecker connected for a leadoff single, and Pete Durocher followed that up with another of his own. Both runners moved over on a wild pitch and Pfannenbecker was brought the final 90 feet by Alfredo Delgado.

Canisius retook the lead right away thanks to a Jackson Strong home run, making the score 2-1.

Manhattan struck again in the sixth inning, capitalizing on a fielding error when the Golden Griffins' attempted to turn two, Trevor Santos managed to score on the play to tie the game at 2-2. Canisius got the run back in the following half-inning to regain a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom of the eighth, an insurance run was gained on a long ball by Colby Dick to go up two runs, 4-2.
