RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan women's basketball team is headed to Washington, DC to face the Howard Bison this Sunday at 2 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium.
The Preview: Last time out, the two teams played on Nov. 9, 2022 with the Jaspers winning at home, 56-54.
The Opponent: The Howard Bison won their season opener against Virginia State, 71-65. Through the last two games, they lost to Memphis (52-43) and DePaul (85-62). Howard was led in scoring by Iyanna Warren with 17 points and three steals, against Memphis. For DePaul, Anaya Wilson scored 21 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
Leading the Way: Nitzan Amar leads the Jaspers in scoring with 10.8 points per game, 4.3 assists, and 4 rebounds. Jade Blagrove is next at 9.0 points per game and 6.3 rebounds, while Petra Juric is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game.
Away Games: Last season, the Jaspers finished 4-9 in away games.
What's Ahead: Manhattan will play at home against UMBC on Sun, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.
