RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Following an opening weekend in which the Manhattan men's soccer club posted a 1-1 record, the non-conference schedule continues this weekend in Philadelphia, Pa. with a road match at La Salle this Friday at 7 p.m.
The match can be watched on ESPN+, while live stats can be followed HERE.
The last time these two club's shared the pitch was back in 2016. In that match, the Explorer's topped the Jaspers 3-0.
The Jaspers have gotten contributions from the large group of newcomers that head coach Jorden Scott brought to Riverdale this year. In the club's first match of the year against Holy Cross, Gunnar Studenhofft netted both goals to propel the Green and White to a 2-0 win. Henry Hamilton provided offense during the team's visit to the nation's capital, scoring his first goal while dawning the Green and White.
Scott has employed two different keepers thus far, with Danny DiMarco getting the opening day start while newcomer Daniel Polakowski got the nod against George Washington.
Nassim Akki and Liam Moore are the only two Jasper's to have played every minute thus far.
La Salle, a member of the Atlantic-10 conference, enters the contest sporting a record of 1-1, most recently making a visit to New York City for a meeting with St. Francis Brooklyn, in which ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Explorers.
In the Explorer's opening win over Stonehill (5-3), Omari Catterell netted two of the club's five goals. Justin Brunow assisted on three of the five goals scored in that match.
