BERLIN, Md. – The Manhattan golf team sit with a 20th place on the opening day of the Battle at Rum Pointe, on the Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Md. 
 
The Jaspers finished the first round with a team total of 320 (+32).
 
Colby Norton was the top finisher for the Jaspers. The senior finished T64 after posting a 78 (+6). Sam Taraian ended the day T84, carding an 80 (+8). Lincoln Haymaker was right next to him, tied with a score of 80. 
 
Jimmy Escoto finished T102 after posting a round of 82 (+10). Max Levine finished T104 with a score of 83 (+11). 

The Jaspers return to action tomorrow in the second round of the two-day event.
