West Long Branch, NJ - Monmouth defeated Manhattan by a score of 15-6 in the in MAAC Championship Quarterfinal action.
* After the Hawks opened the scoring, sophomore Reagan Mullins (Islip, NY / Islip) knifed through the defense and found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
* Monmouth then took control with a 5-0 run, before senior Carmella Liscio (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee) ended the spurt with just over 15 minutes until halftime on a free position attempt.

* The Hawks would answer with three more goals in opening up a 9-2 advantage at the break.
* Down but not out, senior Alaina Burgess (Holden, MA / The Govenor's Academy) opened the second-half scoring while fueling a 3-1 Manhattan run.
* After a Hawk goal, freshman Julianna Iovine (Brentwood, TN / Ravenwood) scored her first two collegiate goals with back-to-back scores the Monmouth advantage to 10-5 with capped the run with back-to-back goals to trim the Monmouth advantage to 10-5 with just over 20 minutes to play.

* Unfortunately, that would be as close as the Jaspers would get as Monmouth scored five of the final six goals.
* All-MAAC Second Team honoree junior Grace Lipponer (Lake Grove, NY / Sachem North) capped the scoring for the Green & White with her team-best 32nd score.

* Iovine led Manhattan with two goals and an assist, while Burgess had a goal and an assist.
