Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist staved off a pesky Manhattan squad by a 9-7 count in the season opener for each team at Tenney Stadium.

* Seniors Alaina Burgess (Holden, MA / The Governor's Academy) and Carmella Liscio (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee) each scored two goals to pace the Jaspers, while sophomore Reagan Mullins (Islip, NY / Islip) and Grace Lipponer (Lake Grove, NY / Sachem North) each notched a goal and an assist.

* Junior Meghan Rodino (Natick, MA / Natick) rounded out the scoring for Manhattan, while also adding a game-high five draw controls.

* Classmate Gianna Skowronski (Millstone, NJ / Allentown) registered a game-high five ground balls.

* Between the pipes, sophomore Jessica Hise (Westminster, MD / Westminster) made six saves, while classmate Ashley Gambardella (Bethpage, NY / Plainedge) had five stops.

* Manhattan will host Siena on Sunday, March 14 at 12:00 pm.
