Corpus Christi, TX - Senior RHP Nick Massa (Shrewsbury, NJ / Red Bank Regional) was dominant in a losing effort, striking out seven over 7.0 innings of one-run ball in Manhattan's 1-0 loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
After allowing a run in the first inning, Massa settled down and stranded a runner at third before striking out the side in the second.

The Islanders improve to 4-5 while the Jaspers fall to 1-6.
Mike Williams paced the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi offense, going 3-for-4 with two doubles.
LHP John Gaddis earned the win, striking out seven while yielding just two hits over 6.0 innings with Henry Bird striking out two while yielding one hit over 3.0 dominating frames to collect the save.
The teams will continue their series tomorrow at 5:00 pm.
