Hempstead, NY - Hofstra blanked Manhattan 2-0 in non-conference action at University Field.
The Jaspers fall to 8-19 while the Pride moves to 4-18.
Hofstra opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning against junior LHP Nick Massa (Shrewsbury, NJ / Red Bank Regional), who was making his first appearance in a game since February of 2018.

Senior RHP Marc Galvan (Brielle, NJ / Manasquan) entered in relief of Massa in the second and promptly retired the first 10 batters he faced, before yielding a one-out single in the bottom of the fifth.
The Pride would finally get to Galvan with a run in the bottom of the seventh in pushing the lead out to 2-0.
All told, Galvan struck out five while yielding one run on three hits and two walks over 6.0 solid innings of relief.
Sophomore RHP Teddy Sabato (Rye Brook, NY / UNC) struck out the side in eighth to cap a solid day for Manhattan pitching, as the visitors struck out nine while yielding just one earned run on four hits over 8.0 innings.
Junior Dominic Palma (Hilton, NY / Hilton), sophomore Matt Fahey (Fair Haven, NY / Rumson Fair-Haven Regional) and freshman Jonathan Barditch (Miami, FL / Belen Jesuit Prep) all singled to lead the way on offense for the Jaspers.
RHP Steven Boscia earned the win, striking out five over 6.0 innings of three-hit ball while RHP Jack Jett fanned two over 3.0 hitless frames to collect the save.
Manhattan will next host Iona on Saturday, April 6 at 12:00 pm.
