Riverdale, NY
– Manhattan scored twice in the second half, but Marist responded with two goals in the final 11 minutes to defeat the Jaspers 3-2 at Gaelic Park on Saturday afternoon.

Justin Jamie tucked the game winner just inside the far post with just six seconds remaining in regulation send the Red Foxes home with the victory.

In the 73rd minute, trailing 1-0, junior Berti Fourrier (Marseille, France / IFC Marseille) would bring the Jaspers level. Receiving the feed from senior Milan Devuyst (Ostend, Belgium / Old Dominion), Fourrier smashed home the tying score for his second goal in as many games.

Just 78 seconds later, senior Tristan Doran (Jupiter, FL / Benjamin) gave Manhattan its first lead of the day at 2-1. Doran stole the ball from a Marist defender, dribbled into the box and chipped home the go-ahead goal.

Unfortunately, the Red Foxes responded less than six minutes later when Jamie found Stefan Copetti for the tying score in the 80th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Marcellin Gohier (Nantes, France / CENS) made two saves for the Jaspers.

Manhattan held an 11-10 advantage on shots with Marist holding notching edges in shots on goal (5-4) and corner kicks (7-0).

The Jaspers fall to 3-8-0 and a 2-3-0 during MAAC play, while Red Foxes improve to 6-6-0 and 3-2-0 in the league.
