Lawrenceville, NJ
– Manhattan rallied twice from one-goal deficits to force overtime, only to be denied in extra time as Rider defeated the Jaspers 3-2 at Ben Cohen Field.

Sergio Aguinaga sent a long range shot into the box that squirted into the back of the net in the 99th minute to clinch the Broncs' victory.

Rider improves to 5-4-2 and 2-1-2 in the MAAC while Manhattan falls to 3-7-0 and 2-2-0 in the league.

Senior Milan Devuyst (Ostend, Belgium / Old Dominion) put the visitors on the scoreboard in the first half to level the match at 1-1. In the 28th minute, junior Desmond Cole (Aurora, CO / Cherokee Trail) sent a dangerous free kick into the box, near the back post and Devuyst got a foot on the ball and flicked it home for his first goal of the year.  Following a Pablo Decastro strike right before halftime that gave Rider a 2-1 lead, junior Berti Fourrier (Marseille, France / IFC Marseille) would once again tie it up for the Jaspers.

Receiving the feed from Angee Komano (Toulouse, France / Université Montpellier), Fourrier played it off his chest, volleyed it to himself and smashed home the tying goal in the 61st minute.  The two teams would play scoreless for the final 29 minutes of regulation in difficult and wet conditions under heavy rain.

Senior goalkeeper Marcellin Gohier (Nantes, France / CENS) made four saves, including one in overtime, for Manhattan.

The Jaspers outshot the Broncs 10-7 on the evening, however all seven Rider shots were on goal compared to three for the visitors. Rider also held a slight 5-2 lead in corner kicks.

Senior Felipe Clavijo (Santiago, Chile / Palm Beach Atlantic) led the team with three shots, including one on goal. Junior Oswald Annang (Accra Kokomle, Ghana / Peekskill (NY) added two shots and put one on net.
