Riverdale, NY - Junior Tyler Reynolds (Syracuse, NY / Harcum College) and sophomore Ebube Ebube (San Juan, Puerto Rico / Lawrenceville Academy (NJ)) each notched career-highs in scoring to lead Manhattan to a dominating 62-49 victory over Fairfield at Draddy Gymnasium.
Reynolds scored 17 points with six rebounds, while Ebube collected 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
With the win, the Jaspers improve to 5-16 and 3-6 in the MAAC as the Stags fall to 6-16 and 3-7 in the league.
With the score tied at 20-20 with seven minutes to play, Manhattan closed the half on a 16-6 spurt while making good on six of its final seven shots. Freshman Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) fueled the run with six points while Ebube added four.
Freshman Daniel Schreier (Santa Monica, CA / Vermont Academy (VT)) provided the highlight of the spurt with a quick corner triple off an inbounds pass from freshman Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)).

The Jaspers opened the second half with six-straight points in extending the lead out to a game-high 16 at 42-26 with 17:38 to play following an Ebube layup.
Fairfield would trim it to 10 points on three occasions the rest of the way with Stewart putting the finishing touches on the victory with a contested three pointer with the shot clock winding down with just over a minute remaining.

The Jaspers shot a blistering 51.1 percent (23-of-45), including 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from deep, while posting a dominating 37-25 advantage on the glass.
Notes
* Stewart finished with 11 points while adding two steals in his first career start.
* The Stags, which entered the game averaging 71.0 ppg, were limited to just 49 points, on 34.7 percent (17-of-49) shooting, including just 21.4 percent (6-of-28) from deep.
* Manhattan has now won three-straight games against Fairfield while holding the Stags to less than 60 points each time out.
* During that stretch, Fairfield is averaging just 53.3 ppg while shooting just 25.9 percent (21-of-81) from distance.
* The Jaspers scored a season-high matching 36 first-half points.
* Manhattan is now 5-1 when shooting better than the opposition while improving to 4-0 when holding teams to less than 35 percent shooting.
* The Jaspers moved to 47-8 (.855) under Head Coach Steve Masiello when the opposition fails to crack the 60-point barrier.
* Manhattan now leads the all-time series by a 54-48 count, including 10-7 since Masiello took over in 2011-12.
* Fairfield failed to produce a double-figure scorer and was led by Jonathan Kasibabu, who finished up with nine points and seven rebounds.
