Riverdale, NY - Despite 12 points from freshman Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep), Manhattan dropped a 62-46 decision to Marist on Junius Kellogg Night at Draddy Gymnasium.
The Jaspers fall to 4-15 and 2-5 in the MAAC while the Red Foxes improve to 7-11 and 2-4 in the league.
David Knudsen scored a game-high 21 points with six rebounds to pace four double-figure scorers for Marist.
At halftime, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics honored Kellogg with a video tribute.
Today, we look back on the legacy of Junius Kellogg '53, an outstanding role model in an era of racial tension who helped uncover the largest gambling scandal in college basketball history. #JasperNation #ThankYouJunius pic.twitter.com/vg7K4TaWiN

The Red Foxes opened the second half with a 7-2 run in stretching the lead to 37-25 with 17:02 remaining, before Manhattan fought back with six-straight points.
Freshman Tykei Greene (Queens, NY / Long Island Lutheran) hit a pair from the line before senior Samson Usilo (Lagos, Nigeria / Nazareth (NY)) converted a pair of layups to slice the deficit in half at 37-31 with 12:24 remaining.
Unfortunately, Marist quickly responded with an Isaiah Lamb three pointer as the Jaspers couldn't get any closer the rest of the way.
Usilo finished up with a season-high nine points and a team-best six rebounds while Greene and freshman Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)) each added eight points.
Manhattan will return to action at Siena on Saturday, January 26 at the Times Union Center with opening tip tabbed for 7:00 pm.
