In case you missed it…
Manhattan moved to 2-0 on the season when they defeated California Baptist 3-1 in the Jaspers' 2018 home opener. Freshman Simon Busch, sophomore Brandon Joseph-Buadi and junior Noah Amissah each scored their first goal of the season. Senior Lucas Da Silva, junior Tristan Doran and sophomore Berti Fourrier picked up assists.
Recognizing the Results
- Fourrier was selected as the ATAX Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of August 20 to August 26.
- Joseph-Buadi earned MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of August 29.
Jumpstart Offense
Manhattan recorded 12 points in its first two games. Last season, they reached that mark in the fifth game of the season.
Three is Key
- The Jaspers are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games in which they score at least three goals. In those nine wins, the defense helped out by allowing just five goals.
- Three different Jaspers scored on Monday, a feat Manhattan accomplished in three games the previous year.
Never Too Early for Conference Leaders
- Manhattan's one goal allowed through this point is tied for the lowest amongst MAAC competition.
- The Jaspers rank second or tied for second in the MAAC with 27 shots, 12 points, four goals and four assists.

Scouting Report: St. Francis Brooklyn
- The Terriers enter Thursday's matchup with a 1-1-0 record, most recently dropping a 2-0 contest at Stony Brook on Monday evening.
- St. Francis Brooklyn captured its fourth NEC title in the last five years in 2017, finishing 14-5-1 and reaching the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
- In the 2018 NEC Preseason Poll, the Terriers were unanimously voted to repeat for the conference title.
- Head Coach Tom Giovatto and his coaching staff won the 2017 NEC Coaching Staff of the Year award. Giovatto has 104 wins on his resume.
- The Terriers took home a 2-1 victory vs. Manhattan last season at Gaelic Park. Goalkeeper Connor Hayes registered a career-high seven saves in the effort.
